The Bishop's Throne is not usually found in the nave but was placed there in 1861. The handsome mahogany chair of Chinese Chippendale design is about 100 years older and was possibly a gift of the Earl Bishop, Frederick Hervey.

The splendid brass lectern was a gift of James Gilmour in 1868.
